Bubba Pizza flew its viral pizza nearly 1,700km to Brisbane for pizza fans who missed out on the treat.
According to a report by news.com.au, on 20 May, Brisbane locals, Jaz, Laura, Sam, and Haylee saw the viral pizza on their social media and decided to board a flight to Melbourne to try the combination of ham and orange on a pizza.
However, the group lucked out as all the pizzas were already sold out.
For their efforts, Bubba Pizza decided to send them a taste of the pizza. The brand packed an ‘esky’ (portable cooler) full of half-cooked Ham & Orange pizzas, chilled with ice packs, and sent it, along with a Bubba “delivery flyer’’, on a Jetstar flight to Brisbane.
Once there, the pizzas were fired up in a local oven and hand-delivered to Jaz and his friends.
The Ham & Orange Pizza was first launched in November. It gained media attention when a Reddit post went viral, debating the pros and cons of fruits on a pizza.
