Fillipe Barbosa has recently been appointed the Acting CEO of Gelatissimo.
QSR Media: What makes you excited about your new position?
Filipe: I have been involved with Gelatissimo in a number of roles over the last 11 years and have witnessed it grow from infancy. I look forward to taking the reins of this great business as we venture into the next chapter of its development
QSR Media: What three goals are you focused on?
Filipe: Develop on the strong foundations that have been established over the past 11 years
Educate the public that our gelato is made fresh in each store – this is a great point of difference.
Focus on continuing to improve franchisee profitability
QSR Media: What will you do differently in this position?
Felipe Look at all of our processes from a different perspective and invite the input of our core people in guiding the direction of our business.
QSR Media: What changes are you planning for?
Filipe: No imminent changes are planned. We are entering the busiest part of the year and we will focus on supporting our franchisee network while developing our strategic plan to move forward with.

Filipe: Lead from the front and set the example you expect others to follow
Don’t ask anyone to do anything you would not do yourself
Make decisions considering the best interest of all significant parties
QSR Media: What previous positions prepared you for this one and how?
Filipe: My involvement with Gelatissimo since its infancy, from store management, to retail operations management to manufacturing and logistics management has given me a complete overview of the business.
I am confident I can lead this team to growth in the coming years.

Filipe: Gelatissimo is a great brand, that has a solid team behind it, despite the recent change in management.
