Mudgee Muffin Break market to miners

Specially developed lunch, or ‘crib’ pack available at new store.

Muffin Break, the premium bakery-cafe, opened a new store in Mudgee today, under local franchisees, Mark and Astrid Ford.

What is interesting about the launch, which brings the total number of stores in the chain to over 195, is the level of customisation involved, in order to cater to the large mining community in the town.

The store will open at 5am and offer miners a freshly prepared, ready to go lunch, or ‘crib’ pack. The packs will include a muffin, museli bar, seasonal fruit and soft drink, plus a choice of wrap, tartlet, pie, sausage roll, and dessert.

Both of these developments are new for the chain, but as Brand Manager John Macphail explains “we understand that each Muffin Break franchisee has a unique customer base. To cater to their needs and ultimately boost sales for franchisees, we work with franchisees to tweak their menu and operating hours to best suit their local community”.
