KFC West Gosford bags top prize in annual KFC CHAMPS challenge

They beat over 600 teams nationwide.

Last Sunday 18 August 2013, KFC Australia held the final event of its 28th CHAMPS Team Challenge, an annual retail training program which also recognises and rewards the brand’s top employees.

Over 600 teams from various KFC restaurants across the country competed in this annual event.

After six hours of accomplishing different tasks involving customer service, food quality, packing products, cleaning, and house set up, KFC West Gosford were hailed champions of this year’s CHAMPS team Challenge.

Senator Eric Abetz, Shadow Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations presented the winning team with the National Winners award.

“Each of the competing teams demonstrated their commitment to quality and customer service but KFC West Gosford perfectly exemplified our CHAMPS principles of Cleanliness; Hospitality; Accuracy; Maintenance; Product and Speed.”

“Now in its 28th year, the CHAMPS Team Challenge program ensures our employees maintain high quality service and deliver great tasting food for the two million customers that visit our restaurants each week,” said Rob Phipps, Chief People Officer for KFC Australia.
