Kim Toovey steps down as CEO of SUKI

He led the poké brand for two years.

Kim Toovey is stepping down as CEO of SUKI Sushi Burrito & Poke’ Bowls at the end of April.

“It has been wonderful seeing the healthy food space undergo another revolution and it was great to be apart of. The company is in great hands under the ownership group and COO Neven Vanderzee who was also there for the brand launch,” he said in a LinkedIn post.

Under his leadership as founding CEO, he saw the establishment of eight location openings, the build out of the brand’s franchise and master franchise model along with the completion of international market entry work.

In a 2018 interview with QSR Media, Toovey said SUKI has a strategic growth plan of 10-15 locations per year nationally with a mix of franchise and corporate locations.
