The new restaurant kickstarts Restaurant Brands’ $65m expansion drive.

Taco Bell has opened its first location in NSW, courtesy of New Zealand-based operator Restaurant Brands.

Located at Jesmond Central, the new restaurant will feature an open kitchen, USB charging stations, kiosk ordering, beacons and a self-serve music kiosk.

Customers also have the option to swap proteins, add or remove ingredients and avail gluten-free options.

In a statement, Restaurant Brands Group CEO Russel Creedy also confirmed that they are launching in Blacktown “shortly after.”

Restaurant Brands previously stated that they have committed $65m across ANZ over the next five years, allocated for a minimum of 40 restaurants across NSW & ACT that is expected to generate more than 2,000 jobs.
