Taco Bell to open 50 restaurants across Australia over next three years
The brand cited Southeast Queensland as a priority for their planned expansion.
Taco Bell, through Australian franchisee Collins Foods, is set to open more than 50 new restaurants across the country over the next three years.
The American fast food chain has yet to confirm the timings and locations of the new sites, but has said that Southeast Queensland would be a "priority" and that it would also roll out in other states across the three-year period.
“We have had an overwhelming response to the launch of Taco Bell in Brisbane, and we know that the Australian market is hungry for more,” Ankush Tuli, Managing Director Taco Bell Asia Pacific, said in their announcement. “We can’t wait to give our passionate fans in Australia the chance to enjoy Taco Bell in more cities across the country.”
Taco Bell came back to Australia for a third attempt at expanding, establishing its Annerley site in 2017.
International president Liz Williams previously said in an exclusive interview with QSR Media that the "more mature" Australian market is now ready for the global brand.
