Raw Energy opens two new stores on the Sunshine Coast
The brand launched two new stores inside a major university on the Sunshine Coast.
Operations Manager of Raw Energy, Jay Giles, said the university’s youthful demographic was a good fit for the health-focused offering.
"Partnering with universities and other educational institutions is something we have been thinking about for a while,” Giles said.
“So when management at the University of the Sunshine Coast (USC) approached us, we jumped at the opportunity. Raw Energy started on the Sunshine Coast and the university liked that local synergy. They were keen to support local enterprise. They also liked how our menu was fresh, healthy, and wholesome and could be grabbed on the run.”
Raw Energy’s full-menu ‘poolside’ café is located in the sports precinct of the University close to the sports stadium and student gym, while a smaller Raw Energy juice bar, to be known as the ‘Bunker’ operates in the main student area.
“Our company’s ethos is to give our customers the fresh and healthy food they want, without the wait. This new location in the sports precinct reflects the company’s commitment to promoting health, vitality and natural raw energy,” Giles said.
“And with our ‘bunker’ juice bar, students and staff can now enjoy freshly made and highly nutritious juices and smoothies instead of having to settle for pre-packaged drinks made from concentrate.”
Giles said these two latest stores were the first of what he hoped would be many Raw Energy outlets operating in universities and colleges around the country.
“These two stores at USC are a pilot, a stepping stone to potentially bigger things. If they are a success we’ll pursue similar partnerships with educational institutions throughout Australia and offer the juice bar as a new franchise option,” he said.
