Pie Face now faces multiple legal battles in New York

The chain is slapped with its third lawsuit — the latest claiming $US620,000 ($760,000) in damages for wrecking the premises at its first store on Broadway.

According to the Australian, Pie Face now faces multiple legal battles in New York and total claims of nearly $US800,000. CBS studios claim Pie Face damaged its building as it renovated the site for its maiden US store.

“Said damage was caused solely by reason of carelessness and negligence of Pie Face in failing to protect plaintiff’s property from harm, and otherwise being careless and negligent in its management, maintenance and repair of the premises,’’ argues a summons lodged with the Supreme Court of the State of New York and obtained by The Australian.
