Madame Nhu celebrates 1 million rice paper rolls sold, launches more stores
The Vietnamese food chain celebrated its one millionth rice paper roll sold since 2007.
"Madame Nhu saw a niche market for a rice paper rolls concept back in 2005. We were the first in 2007 to introduce rolls with modern flavours, more hygienic packaging and choices of sauces," Director of Colonie Restaurants Group, Minh Nguyen said.
"Very few people actually realise that modern Vietnamese summer rolls have only been around for barely a decade. Prior to 2007, office workers had to settle with either going to Cabramatta for a fix or to a sushi bar with its Japanese reinterpretation of this classic Vietnamese dish," he said.
As part of its celebration, Madame Nhu ran a competition for free "wine and dine" vouchers via its 38,000 Instagram followers.
The brand also announced that it will launch its fifth eatery later this month, with "aggressive plans" for further store openings in 2016. The launch of its new eatery will include a $5 promotional deal in December 2015.
Details of the new Madame Nhu eatery will be announced next week.
