Goobne makes Australia debut with Sydney flagship site
The chain has more than 1,000 restaurants across Asia.
Korean chicken chain Goodne has officially opened its first Australian site in Sydney’s Darling Square.
In an announcement, the concept describes itself as “offering mouth-watering Korean oven-roasted chicken and original sides and cocktails in a fun-loving atmosphere where K-pop is king.”
Menu items include the UFO Fondue Chicken, which involves dipping two preferred Goobne chicken drumstick flavours in a trough of melted cheese; seven flavours of roast chicken, including Original, Fruity Soy Garlic, Black Pepper, Volcano, Deep Cheese, Crispy Pepper and Galbi, as well as noodle dishes, fried rice dishes and special Egg rolls.
Goobne comes to Australia via the Chatime Group, the company responsible for bringing the Taiwanese bubble tea chain in the country. The group expressed similar expansion plans for the chicken chain in Australia.
Goodne Darling Square is open for lunch and dinner from 11:30am to 1am during most nights and will offer karaoke on special occasions.
