Franchising Expo organiser comments on ‘A Current Affair' investigation, says franchising a ‘fundamentally good' model
A Channel Nine reporter went undercover during the event in Brisbane.
Franchising & Business Opportunities Expo organiser Tim Collett has issued a statement on television programme A Current Affair's investigation during their event, stating that the venue is an opportunity to "ask the hard questions and see all the options."
“We obviously do not condone that behaviour and regret a few operators have made it hard for the rest. Franchising is a fundamentally good model that has been proven over many years,” Tim Collett said in a statement, alluding to allegations against larger franchising networks.
A Current Affair's investigation in the expo saw a reporter going undercover and speaking with exhibitors and visitors about their experience.
Franchising & Business Opportunities Expo's next event will be at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre from August 25 and 26.
