Cinnabon to open first VIC store at Westfield Southland

The American brand first entered the country in late 2019.

Cinnabon announced it will open its first Victorian store on 3 March, located at Melbourne’s Westfield Southland.

The store is expected to open with the chain’s three iconic flavours - Classic Makara Cinnamon Roll, Chocobon and Caramel Pecanbon - in mini and regular sizes. There will also be CinnaPacks available that can be pre-ordered online.

Cinnabon Australia operations manager Lauren Ord said Melbournians have been amongst the most vocal in demanding a local Cinnabon bakery.

“Some of our most avid social media fans are in Melbourne so it brings us great relief to finally be able to let them know we’re coming,” she said.

Cinnabon Australia franchisor Richa Goyal said it has been an onerous task to get the first bakery open in Melbourne with COVID-19 delivering unwanted challenges and setbacks over the past year.

The US-headquartered brand made its Australian debut after entering Brisbane in late 2019.
