Lord of the Fries on the prowl for new Sydney stores

This is following their Sydney store opening.

Last 29 August, Lord of the Fries officially opened its first Sydney store in George Street.

The brand chose to establish the store on George Street because of its centrality. The store is located in the heart of Sydney’s music scene, being only a walking distance from the Metro Theatre.

The George Street store will be open daily from 10am to midnight.

Below is a Q&A with Mark Koronczyk, co-founder of the Lord of the Fries.

QSR Media: Describe the opening day.

Koronczyk: We officially opened doors on the 14th August for what we thought would be a 'soft launch' but there have been queues out the door daily - we even ran out of supplies on the first day.

It just reinforces that it was high time the Lord came to Sydney, our fans have waited lone enough! We've been overwhelmed with the response and are excited to be making a mark on the Sydney food scene.

We wanted to thank the good people of Sydney for their warm reception last Thursday, 29th of August, and wanted to shout our place here on George St from the rooftops, so we decided to have a fries feeding frenzy and have been giving away free chips and sauce to the first 200 people through the door since noon.

We've had a line up to the end of the street with people still pouring in and the energy is electric!

QSR Media: Are there any more sites you are looking at in Sydney?

Koronczyk: We're focused right now on making sure our George St. store is getting all the love and attention it deserves in terms of staff, training and supplies and then we'll be ready to expand here.

We definitely have felt the demand and are starting to scout possible locations.

QSR Media: What would you like to tell Sydneysiders about LOTF?

Koronczyk: For those that don't already know us we're about food that is good for the animals, the earth and the people and we're committed to bringing Australia the best chips they'll ever try.

We love music, we love animals, we love our passionate fans and customers and we love burgers and chips... And LOTF is about all of that.
