Muffin Break raises $10,000 to support flood-affected communities
Proceeds will be donated directly to GIVIT.
Muffin Break announced it was able to raise $10,000 in support of non-profit GIVIT, which has been helping those affected by the widespread flooding across Queensland and New South Wales.
The Foodco-owned brand pledged to raise 10 cents for every Muffin sold during their $2 Muffin Day celebrations to support the charity.
“Times are tough for those impacted by the flooding in New South Wales & Queensland. We are so thankful for each and every one of our customers for their support of their fellow Australians. It’s a true testament to the strength of Australian communities,” Muffin Break general manager Natalie Brennan said in a media release.
The funds raised by Muffin Break will be donated directly to GIVIT to assist with the impact and rebuilding.
Donations for GIVIT will continue to be collected throughout Muffin Break stores Australia-wide during March, the chain added.
