Baskin-Robbins' breast cancer fundraiser nets $40,000 for McGrath Foundation
Baskin-Robbins Australia's third annual fundraising drive for breast cancer, “Raise Your Cone”, was able to raise $40,000 for the McGrath Foundation.
In a ceremony held at the Foundation’s office in St Leonards, NSW last month, Baskin-Robbins General Manager, David Jordan and National Marketing Manager, Geraldine Van Der Merwe presented the cheque to McGrath Foundation Ambassador and Director, Tracy Bevan and Corporate Friends Manager, Jasmine Harrison.
“We’re so grateful to Baskin-Robbins and its nationwide team for coming on board to raise money to help fund McGrath Breast Care Nurses who collectively have supported over 30,000 Australian families experiencing breast cancer,” said McGrath Foundation Ambassador and Director, Tracy Bevan.
For the “Raise Your Cone” campaign, Baskin-Robbins turned its famous Freshly Baked Waffle Cones pink for the entire Breast Cancer Awareness Month. For each pink waffle cone sold nationwide, the company donated 50 cents to the Foundation.
David Jordan, General Manager Baskin-Robbins Australia said, “It is part of our corporate social responsibility program at Baskin-Robbins Australia to support and give-back to important causes and organisations like the McGrath Foundation. Their commitment to improving the lives of Australian families experiencing breast cancer is extraordinary and we’re proud to be a Corporate Friend and contribute funds towards assisting the 30,000 Australian families that McGrath Breast Care Nurses care for.”
Including this year's campaign, Baskin-Robbins has raised over $110,000 for McGrath Foundation since their partnership started three years ago.
