Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar partners with non-for-profit organisation Tram Sessions
Surprises commuters with some live tunes.
Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar has partnered with not-for-profit organisation Tram Sessions to create the ‘Crust Tram Jams’ - a series of pop up gigs held to surprise commuters on Melbourne’s busy trams.
"Crust is a proud supporter of grass roots projects and Tram Sessions is a great not-for-profit initiative that promotes emerging Australian musicians. We are happy to have partnered with Tram Sessions to ensure these types of great community initiatives can thrive," said Renee North, Crust Marketing Manager.
As the sponsor of Tram Sessions, the Crust Tram Jams see Crust branding feature at the gig and on promoted videos, and commuters can also receive Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar vouchers at selected sessions.
Award winning singer Sally Seltman recently serenaded a fully packed tram of commuters with new single 'Seed of Doubt.' According to the pizza chain, Tram Sessions is a project that takes the joy of live music and lets it take a seat next to unsuspecting Melbourne commuters.
The Crust Tram Jams kicked off earlier this month with Melbourne indie pop folk band Tully on Tully, and continues throughout May with performances scheduled by Kingswood, Al Parkinson and All The Colours.
"Tram Sessions provide a platform for established and up-and-coming artists to engage with the community, and also aims to encourage the use of sustainable transport. One of Tram Sessions major goals is to promote live music and make it accessible to all sectors of the community. Crust’s audience tends to be culturally curious, so engaging with emerging artists and live music is a great fit for the Crust brand," North explained.
