Spending time outdoors good for the appetite
Enhanced Media Metrics Australia (emma), a survey conducted by Ipsos Australia, confirms that the more time you spend outdoors, the more likely you are to pop into a QSR for a quick bite to eat.
Outdoorsmen seem to pass through the Golden Arches most often, with 43% of people who spend more than 3 hours a day outdoors choosing to spend some of their time at McDonald’s. On the other hand, 29% of the “heavy” outdoors types will go for a Subway sandwich and 24% will go for chicken and stop at KFC.
While the general rule of “the more time spent outdoors, the more likely you are to have visited a QSR in the past 4 weeks” applies, it is also true that those who do not enjoy spending time outdoors like their QSRs. Luckily for QSRs, it seems to be a win-win game.
