Café2U on the hunt for mobile baristas

The mobile coffee van brand system is seeking aspiring franchisees to become mobile baristas in Victoria.

Café2U General Manager John Stanton said what set Café2U apart from other franchisees is the mapping technology that allows franchisees to locate the customers in their area and take the product directly to them.

“Mobile coffee vans provide the ultimate in convenience, but there is no point having a van in a territory where there are no customers to sustain it.”

“Café2U uses scientific mapping technology combined with advanced demographic data to locate hot spots of small to medium offices, industrial areas and work sites that are ideal for our franchisees to target on their daily coffee run.”

“We can provide granular detail on every business in any one territory, right down to the industry classification and the number of employees per business, allowing franchisees to ‘fish where the fish are’.”
Stanton said the mapping process had been refined over several years to offer franchisees the best possible data when they purchase a territory.

“We’ve taken away all the guesswork – no assumptions are made, all Café2U territories are created using proven, current statistics,” he said.

“With more than 150 Café2U mobile coffee vans presently in the Australian market, we know what kind of consumers the brand’s offering appeals to, and we are able to tell our new franchisees exactly who they are and where they are.”

In the current conservative retail environment, Stanton said he firmly believes the convenience and value offered by mobile retailers is winning consumers dollars.

“Cafe2U’s state-of-the-art equipment, housed in a Mercedes Benz van, has been instrumental in raising the standard of mobile coffee products, along with constant staff training aiding the evolution of the ‘mobile barista’,” Stanton said.

“Our innovative business model has seen us place on BRW’s Fastest Franchise list for four consecutive years from 2011 to 2014, we were awarded the Best Value Franchise System Investment Level $50k-$150k by The Australian Financial Review in 2009 and we were this year named Australia’s Best Value Franchise System for our investment level by the Today Show.”

Café2U will be exhibiting at the upcoming Melbourne Franchising & Business Opportunities Expo on Friday 21, Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 August 2015.
