The platform looks to bring more value across dayparts.
Menulog has announced it will slash its everyday delivery fees for orders outside of their dinner ‘peak’ delivered by the platform to $1.99 starting 20 October.
Those exempted are McDonald’s and Hungry Jack’s, which will offer $1.99 for breakfast and late night, and KFC orders.
Menulog said the new delivery fee is a significant reduction of more than 60%, with Menulog-delivered restaurants and food couriers maintaining all existing funds received per order.
“We’ve seen customers shift to ordering a broader range of items on demand, whether it’s a morning coffee or an easy lunch when working from home. With this trend in mind, having a reduced fee for off-peak Menulog-delivered orders aims to drive more business for restaurant partners in these traditionally quieter times,” Menulog managing director Morten Birk Belling said in a media release.
“In turn, this also provides more delivery opportunities for couriers, who will maintain their existing delivery fees per order.”
Customers and restaurants will automatically see the change on the Menulog app and website on the list of ‘Delivered by Menulog’ restaurants.
