Soul Origin names new CEO
The chain is planning to double its restaurant network in the next 10 years.
Soul Origin has named George Gebran as its new CEO following the announcement of the chain’s plans to double its restaurant network in the next decade.
Gebran first joined Soul Origin as chief financial officer in 2019. Meanwhile, co-founder and Managing Director Hao Quach will focus on long-term strategy and future growth opportunities.
The group said it plans to grow its 178 restaurants in Australia and New Zealand to 400 in the next 10 years, targeting regional locations, airports, drive-thru service centres, hospitals and universities, alongside continued growth across its established shopping-centre network.
The brand already has six new restaurants that will open before the end of the year, including a new flagship expected to open airside within Sydney International Airport’s T1 terminal in December 2026.
Soul Origin currently operates four stores in New Zealand, including two airport locations, and plans to open approximately 10 additional stores across the country over the next two years.
Aside from expansion, Soul Origin plans to launch a dinner menu, expand its iced-beverage range, and has invested $1m in technology to help support its growth.
