Domino's ANZ cuts vouchers and deep discounts
Simpler menus form part of the pizza chain’s turnaround plans.
Domino's Pizza Enterprises Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) is cutting vouchers and deep discounts as it shifts to everyday pricing.
“At Domino’s, we talk about the ‘value equation’ and are relentlessly focused on getting it right,” CEO Merrill Pereyra told QSR Media.
Australia’s biggest pizza chain by store count and sales has introduced simpler pricing and targeted offers as part of a turnaround plan.
“Customers want us to be great value every day, not just at particular times or on particular days of the week,” he said in an emailed reply to questions.
The plan includes restoring sales, improving operations, reducing costs, supporting franchise partners, and reshaping company culture.
Pereyra said the business has boosted its balance sheet and increased customer numbers.
Domino's ANZ is also simplifying operations. Pereyra said priorities include a smaller menu, better execution, and more consistent service.
The company tests products with customers before national launches and uses sales and customer data to guide menu development.
Pereyra cited hot honey as a flavour trend that Domino's adopted early.
Recent additions include the Pistachio Papi Lava Cake, a variation of the Choc Lava Cake, which has been on the menu since 2009.
Pereyra, who will be at the QSR Media Conference & Awards 2026 powered by Red Bull in Sydney on 12 October, said Domino's ANZ is also seeking to increase orders across more eating occasions whilst boosting its presence on delivery platforms.
