KFC names Medowie its top-performing restaurant team in annual competition

The annual KFC Games is now in its 39th year.

KFC Australia has named the team at its Medowie restaurant in New South Wales the top performer in the country after the 2026 KFC Games national finals, held at KFC Maltby Bypass in Victoria on 30 August.

Now in its 39th year, the KFC Games functions as an internal operational benchmark across KFC's Australian network of 45,000 team members. 

Restaurants compete through regional heats before seven finalists meet at a national event judged across customer service, cooking execution, burger assembly, order packing and teamwork. This year's finalists came from New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia and South Australia.

The 40-minute finals challenge requires teams to serve as many customers as possible under competition conditions, with judges assessing speed, accuracy and consistency across each operational area.

Toby Camilleri, KFC's chief operating officer, said the competition was designed to develop capability and surface talent across the network, with many participants going on to pursue long-term careers within the business.

"Each year, we see the confidence and capability of our people shine through as they challenge themselves, develop new skills and build connections with colleagues from across the KFC network," Camilleri said.
