Franke Next Generation Coffee System’s café-quality capsule coffee machine: small on size, yet a giant in taste and quality

Everyone loves the appeal of big gadgets, and the coffee industry is no exception. The best coffee beverages nowadays are often concocted with the help of large, sometimes flashy coffee machines that reflect the detailed processes that are used in making them.

But what if you could keep it small and simple—and yet still brew great-tasting, café-quality hot and cold drinks?

Franke Coffee Systems, one of the world’s leading suppliers of fully automatic coffee machines, has recently introduced its Next Generation Coffee Systems by Franke, a line of compact capsule coffee machines that challenges the perception that big is better—taking up less space, but maintaining top output quality.

“We have to admit, we’re kind of proud. We managed to pack all of our experience and coffee know-how into a small capsule. It’s the innovation that offices and businesses dreaming of gourmet quality have long been waiting for,” says David Downing, Franke Head of Sales Asia Pacific.

The Next Generation Coffee System uses the K-FeeTM Professional System: machines by Franke and capsules by K-FeeTM, combining the latest technology and highest quality standards for truly remarkable beverage creations. Further, the machine uses FoamMasterTM technology—ensuring that milk used is foamed fresh every time.

Operating the Next Generation Coffee System itself is quite simple, thanks to its automatic brewing unit. Once brewing is finished, the used capsule is ejected to minimise clutter, while the water outlet and brewing unit are automatically cleaned regularly to remove residue from previous drinks.

Meanwhile, unique to the Next Generation Coffee System is its intelligent display system: central to its operation, yet familiar and easy to use. To choose a product, one simply has to press a button.

“The intelligent display removes the guesswork, and tells you in eight different languages when the water needs refilling or the capsule container needs to be emptied. You can also adjust the settings (amount of water, brewing time, temperature) for each type of drink, quickly and simply,” Downing explains.

Other features of the Next Generation Coffee System include automatic detergent dispersal, an integrated detergent cartridge, separate cleaning tank to avoid milk contamination, and a cleaning system that starts upon the tank’s insertion. The machine is also HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points)-compliant.

Next Generation Coffee Systems by Franke is available in two models: the professional C250FM, which can be used to create cappuccinos and latte macchiatos, and the simpler yet equally-robust C200.
