Markwell Foods introduces new food products across 4 key markets

See the breadth of their fresh offerings.

Recognizing new market opportunities and the evolving customer profiles of its QSR clients, Markwell Foods has recently expanded its product portfolio for 4 key markets: Asian food solutions, Tapas solutions, Meal solutions and Vegetable solutions.

Hanabi Asian food solutions

Australians are becoming big eaters of Asian food, particularly tasty bites like potstickers and dumplings. This led Markwell Foods to launch new products under its Hanabi brand: Pork Potstickers, Chicken Potstickers, Pork & Chives Dumplings, Mini BBQ Pork Buns and Korean Seafood Patties.

“This exciting range of product will fill in a growing market segment in foodservice,” said Anita Lee, National Category Manager at Markwell Foods, adding that these Asian favorites can be served at pubs, clubs, cafés, restaurants, and catering and function events. Portion control and pack convenience are important for these products, which led to the use of 4 x 1kg packs in 4kg cartons.

Tapas Solutions

Markwell Foods also saw a soaring demand for tapas – also known as Spanish cuisine appetizers – which led to the release of new tapas products under its Findus brand. These include Salted Cod and Beer & Cheese Croquettes, Spicy Crab Sliders and Panko Cod Bites. Tapas products like these are popular among QSRs for their tasty flavor and diverse serving possibilities, and Markwell Foods make it more convenient for clients to use them by delivering them in convenient small pack sizes.

Meal solutions

Food fads come and go, but burgers and fillets will always be staple offerings in fastfood chains and restaurants. Markwell Foods allows QSRs to easily and simply prepare their menu with these new products which is said to be made from high quality ingredients: Findus Tuna & Mozzarella Fishcake, as well as the Markwell Beer Battered Flathead Fillets and Butlers BC Southern Style Chicken Burger. The fourth new offering, the Gourmet Veggie Burger, is also a fantastic-tasting vegetarian option, according to Lee.

Vegetable Solutions

Driven partly by the healthy eating movement, Markwell Foods has also started rolling out 3 new vegetable products: Broccoli Florets, Cauliflower Florets and Cross Cut Green Beans. These vegetable products are ready to use to create a wide variety of vegetable mains, sides and snacks. Next month, the company will also be launching a 3-vegetable mix to its line-up: Carrot, Cauliflower & Broccoli.
