Footy fever drives Eagle Boys’ sales

Footy fever drives Eagle Boys’ sales

Hungry pizza lovers are expected to order up a storm as footy fever sweeps the nation for the Wallabies’ last pool game in the Rugby World Cup.

Eagle Boys Pizza stores around the nation are getting set to run the gauntlet, with staff teams selected and extra supplies waiting in the wings to cater for the biggest footy weekend of the year.

As footy fever sweeps the nation for the Wallabies’ last pool game in the Rugby World Cup on Saturday 1 October, the AFL Grand Final on Saturday 1 October, and the NRL Grand Final on Sunday 2 October, hungry pizza lovers are expected to order up a storm.

Eagle Boys Pizza CEO Todd Clayton said as Australia’s second largest pizza maker, Eagle Boys was expecting to make more than 100,000 piping hot pizzas across the weekend, increasing sales by over 20%.

“While Collingwood and Geelong battle out their rivalry, and Manly and the Warriors go all out for the premiership, Eagle Boys stores are expecting a massive sales spike as they get set to collectively make history across the next two days of footy,” Mr Clayton said.

“Putting extra bite into our pizzas is the fact they’re larger than many international pizza players and use fresh ingredients to deliver a range of unique toppings which we expect will drive demand. Our BBQ Meatlovers and gourmet Butcher’s Block toppings traditionally get a hit during sporting occasions.”

Mr Clayton said Eagle Boys was focussed on getting all orders out efficiently during play and giving fans 100% as they celebrate wins over the weekend.

“For those celebrating across the weekend, the best match tip is to get your order in early by either phoning the store or ordering online,” he said.

“Football events are always huge crowd pleasers and prove to be great pizza occasions as family and friends come together to support their teams in the race towards a premiership.

“This weekend, supporters from all the footy codes will be barracking their teams across the line and looking for great tasting, convenient meal options to ensure they don’t miss any of the action.

“With Eagle Boys $5 delivery offer, footy fanatics can guarantee they remain glued to the TV from kick-off and still get their hands on Eagle Boys real taste, real size and real value pizzas without having to leave the lounge room,” he added.
