Cold Rock to give away $10,000 in gold

Cold Rock to give away $10,000 in gold

This is part of its new national summer campaign known as ‘Unlock the Gold Rock’.

Customers who purchase any ice cream product in January will receive a coupon with a unique code to enter the competition. The winner will take home a 24 carat gold bullion bar weighing around 180 grams.

Created by Melbourne-based Red Crayon, the competition is being promoted on television with a commercial airing nationally on the Seven Network (Prime in regional locations) and Foxtel. It is also being supported by point of sale and online activity through Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and the Cold Rock website.

“The campaign aims to increase store sales by 10% across the group compared to the same time last year, as well as significantly grow our existing database and number of Facebook fans,” Cold Rock marketing manager Clare McKeown said.

“Cold Rock is a leader when it comes to fun and innovative campaigns which stand out in the marketplace. We don’t know of too many other ice creameries out there giving away 24 carat gold bullion bars.”

Entry for the competition is through a custom built application on Cold Rock’s official Facebook page, with 700,000 coupons with “secret” codes allocated across more than 100 Cold Rock stores nationally.

The competition closes on 31 January and the winner will be announced on 24 February.
