Crust opens store in the West Coast

Crust opens store in the West Coast

Crust Gourmet Pizza Bars has launched its first store in Western Australia at 502 Hay Street in Subiaco to serve Perth residents, with plans to continue expansion in WA in 2011.

“Western Australia is a natural next step for Crust. The economy is growing and the market is ripe for fresh, healthy takeaway options. Perth represents a major growth area for us. We’re undaunted by the distance, and are confident that our concept and pizzas will be as successful on the West Coast as they have been on the East Coast,” said Crust’s co-founder Costa Anastasiadis.

“We were the first takeaway pizza franchise in Australia to earn the Heart Foundation Tick of approval on six healthier choice pizzas and we know the higher quality pizza offering will appeal to Perth residents. These days people lead increasingly busy lifestyles and demand the convenience of a takeaway product but don’t want to compromise on quality,” Anastasiadis added.

Crust has focused on expansion in 2010, and aims to have 80 stores by the end of this year. The franchise is set to open its first international store in Singapore later this month, launch its first store in Tasmania within the next couple of months and continue on a strong growth path in NSW, QLD, VIC and ACT.
