Mad Mex opens new restaurant at Central CBD Strip

The restaurant is Mad Mex’s ninth in New South Wales and twelfth nationally.

Mad Mex is making a welcome addition to the southern end of Sydney’s George Street with the opening of a new restaurant opposite Central Station. Offering a convenient gourmet-to-go menu, the new restaurant will cater perfectly to the needs of the office blocks and tertiary institutions that dominate the downtown precinct.

Ahead of today’s official opening, Mad Mex last night held a Mexucation Masterclass for food press, providing a hands-on introduction to the intricacies of Mexican cuisine. This was followed by a VIP Opening Party for guests of the business.

“This was a perfect location for Mad Mex to open given the high level of office workers and students in the area,” says Founder, Clovis Young. “The idea behind fast casual restaurants like Mad Mex is that you can purchase food quickly and without it being too expensive but still get a restaurant-quality meal. That sort of option is perfect for students and office workers on the run or for those with a bit more time they can dine in and even enjoy our selection of margaritas and Mexican beers.”

The restaurant is Mad Mex’s ninth in NSW and twelfth nationally having opened its first restaurant in November 2007 and grown steadily since.
